production build not type checked?

I intentionally add any error typescript recognizes, run build and it does compile without errors. When I try to manually run tsc with the tsconfig.json from remix template unchanged, I get a bunch of errors from node_modules, regardless of whether I exlucde node_modules or not. The later probably because you exclude it in bundler (?), but the problem is that it makes it hard to spot my own errors, when remix itself does not do it on build and I run manually tsc.

I don't see any way to make sure there is an unspotted type error in my project, that is maybe shown in IDE when I open the file, but is (seemingly) ignored by remix.

Important: the file with type error is used (root.tsx), so it is not an unimported/unused file.
