npx create-remix@latest not working (Windows)

Hello,
When I ran npx create-remix@latest today (5/1/2022), I was asked:
Ok to proceed? (y)
then, got errors (redacted user folder name):

Instead change the require of index.js in C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\npm-cache\_npx\5164864a48bff686\node_modules\@remix-run\dev\cli\create.js to a dynamic import() which is available in all CommonJS modules.

I'm on Windows 11 and using recent versions of Node/npm (17+/8+).
Which of recent Remix versions (instead of @latest) would you guys recommend me to use? Or the above issue is known and to be fixed very soon?
