Connection refused when cog login

I literally just downloaded the cog file, gave it full executive permissions, and ran cog init. It builds without issue. Then I run cog login, but I get
ⅹ Failed to log in to r8.im: Get "https://r8.im/cog/v1/display-token-url": dial tcp: lookup r8.im on [::1]:53: read udp [::1]:43125->[::1]:53: read: connection refused

I have no VPN or anything of the sort on my network. Using the ARM Linux version.
