Loosing sync between *.feature and *StepDefinitions.cs

Hello,

I've been creating my first E2E tests as idea/demonstration project over the last days.
The first two tests are now running fine using NUnit and VS2022.

Only problem so far: I keep loosing the sync between the feature file and the step definitions when editing my test steps.
The highlighting (purple/white) constantly shows that only part of the steps are implemented.
Also "go to definition" does not work for the "purple" steps and jumps to the wrong location in code for the "white" steps.

What am I doing wrong?
When I update the feature file, I use "define steps ..." to copy the new/changed steps to clipboard (only other option I found is to overwrite the StepDefinitions file, which is not an option imho).
Then I paste the code from the clipboard into the StepDefinitions.cs and add the step implementation.

Does the same thing keep happening once you rebuild your solution?

Indeed, after a rebuild they are in sync again.
This will work for now but might become a problem once the solution becomes bigger or gets integrated into a bigger one.
