I just wanted to say thank you for this amazing project.

I purchased a Faikin from Amazon UK (although I had to pull in a favor from a friend to ship it to me because I live in Australia).

It took me a bit of effort to get access to the circuit board of my Daikin. It was heavily shielded. Then once I did, I realized I plugged in my cables back the front, I'm really glad I didn't fry my Faikin in the process. Once I switched the 5-pin wires in the other direction it worked flawlessly.

Great little Web UI, also it picked up in Home Assistant flawlessly. Although it didn't appear automatically as a new device in my HA Notifications, I had to go hunt for it in the Devices tab.

Once added to Home Assistant, it works perfectly! More than I could hope for! I've now created automations for multiple scenarios:

• if the door is left open, the air conditioner turns off after an hour. I'm using Aqara Contact Sensors for that.
• aircons turns on/off based on presence detection with my Everything Presence Lite device (https://shop.everythingsmart.io/products/everything-presence-lite).

I can tell the effort and care put into ensuring this works so nicely for so many Daikin's.

Thanks, yeh, I had a "door left open, turn off a/c" script at my last house as the door was to the outside!
