I disabled all Daikin Wifi Controller and could not control Demand anymore...

It sounds weird but just want to ask if there is any dependency between the Daikin wifi module and the Faikin using port S21?
I have disabled all daikin wifi controllers this morning by using the remotes. None of the other setup has been touched.
Then my AC was running on demand = 100 which is not normal due to my automations in HA. Then I tried to switch demand manually via the faikin web interface - no luck. It was always reverting to 100.

Only after enabling 1 daikin wifi controller now on my livingroom device I am now able to set demand using the Faikin again.
All my automations started to work as expected. The other 2 units are still Daikin wifi disabled.

Does this experience make sense to anyone?

Which model do you have?

2 x FTXM20R, 1 x FTXM25R, 1 x 3MXM40A and I was able to reproduce it as I had to change the wifi for the Daikin wifi controller at 1 FTXM20R and again demand control was set back to 100 and no way to control it with the Faikins.

I was under the impression that Faikin is standalone and without a dependency to the Daikin Wifi Modules

Why not leave the Daikin WLAN controller active? It's also a backup in case faikin doesn't work 😉

In my case, when the demand mode was activated via Daikin, I could not set anything via faikin.

Why? Because you can and these stupid IoT devices have ridicoulusly bad wifi receivers so rather than pulling down my wifi performance shutting them off sounds reasonable for me. I have to keep now 1 active as otherwise demand control by faikin is not working. I am fine... but wanted to report still.
