We can't actually override what the air-con unit sees. It would be great if we could. So this only affects how the "Faikin" auto mode works. That is generally pretty good though and there are options and settings for how it works. |

Thanks ! Ok, I understand how it works now. I've some Zigbee thermometers already and I was considering informing the Faikin through MQTT. I would post the value with HA and maybe patch the code to get the Faikin to read it from MQTT instead of directly a probe. (Which could be a generic solution for anyone having already zwave/zigbee/wifi temp probes) |

Hi there,
I'd like to override the (useless) internal temperature probe reading with the ones coming from my zigbee external probes, which are accurate. I can relay them in Bluetooth using another ESP or mod the code to get it to read temp from a MQTT thread, or even buy external Bluetooth probes, whatever.
But, does Faikin readings entirely override the internal sensor values and instead the daikin unit will take the measures of the Faikin as its source of truth regarding temperature or is it only applicable to the "auto mode"? The Github description left me in doubt:
"or, works with BlueCoinT and Telink BLE temperature sensor as a remote reference in an auto mode"
