Setting target (room) temperature via MQTT

Hi,
I managed to send
command/<devicename>/control" -m '{"env":"<temperature>"}'
to Faikin module.

Next step is to send target (room) temperature via MQTT.
Can you please advise which command to use?

thanks for sharing this information.
Reading the advanced manual > Section "Automatic on/off" gives no clarity to me.

My understanding is that Faikin tries to stay in range, and this could result in AC switching from heating to cooling mode and vice versa. However I don't think this makes sense, e.g. in winter period if temperature is higher than max I prefer that AC turns off instead switching to cooling mode.

Can you please advise?

There is a setting to stop it switching heat/cool.

Is there an issue enabling lockmode and Thermostat mode at the same time?

You can do that, no problem, it will wait for temp to fall to bottom level.

What happens if I send command/<faikin-device>/control {"target": 22.5}, means no min/max (temp range)?

Why this question? As of now I don't know how to send a temp range if Loxone can only provide a target temp.

Sending command/Faikin/control is intended to be a remote control, and mainly for sending env, or env and target. So if not seen for a minute or two it will decide you no longer have a remote control.

Actually I still don't understand the difference and the need to send command/<faikin-device>/control {"target":"<temp>"} periodically?
I fully understand why it makes sense to send command/<faikin-device>/control {"env":"<temp>"} because this value is provided by an external source. But in comparison with target, this value is dynamic.

Does it make sense to send env every 60s and target every 300s?

Send both in the same message every 60 seconds. They are not expected to be sent separately. They are the data from a remote control system.

Sending 2 variables in 1 command in Loxone is a challenge; actually I would say it's impossible.
Loxone delivers modules that match a device. This means Loxone's module for AC controlling has several inputs (e.g. room temperature) and outputs (e.g. room temperature, target temperature). In other words, there's a dedicated output for each metric, and I cannot combine two metrics to a single output. As a result I need to send command/<faikin-device>/control {"env":"<temp>"} and command/<faikin-device>/control {"target":<temp>,"margin":1} in separate commands.

Ok I have no idea if that works without looking at my code in detail. It is intended for a remote control to send all data periodically.
