Last release was Nov, and the beta has a lot of small changes. So probably a good time to consider a new release.

Everyone is welcome to try the beta and give feedback before I do a new full release.

That seems odd. I may move OTA stuff to a new server at some point anyway, but it is on a fast machine on a gigabit link, so should be fast.

I do wonder if I can make it get direct from GitHub but that probably would be slower :-)

It was a bit strange... It worked eventually but it took ages to download the new version. Internet was fine otherwise - not sure what was going on...

Possibly but that is in current release I assume so no detriment to doing a release now.

I still have no clue as to the cause of that. It does sound more like a websocket thing now though from what people are saying, and possibly even somehow Bluetooth related!

I've updated to cba4eda 2025-02-14, but I'm now stuck in a reboot loop. :(

I can see the UI for about 4 Seconds. The Status Field indicates "Reset Button".
The device had before the update an uptime of ~50days.

I'll need to organize a USB to serial converter and will try to reflash the old firmware.

Are there any mqtt commands I could use to get some more debug information or to reset the device?

Sounds unrelated, but it should pick up current S21 status from aircon on restart.

Thanks. There seems to be a problem. I also tried beta from 2025-03-03 with same result and also deleted my mqtt-connection to be more sure it´s from the faikin. Up to know every reboot causes a switch on.

Not seeing it here, so weird. Just re-tested (S21). So really puzzled.

Thanks. So maybe a next good step to check if a reconfiguration from factory defaults will help. Will have to do it next weekend for better access.

Thanks. Seems also solved/uncritical for me. This morning (AC is still off / night shutdown) I manually rebooted the Faikin and the Daikin was not switched on. So maybe my manual reboots have not been sufficent with regard to timespan (maybe 2-3 minutes) before from manual Daikin switch off to reboot of the Faikin.

The reboot button on settings is a post, so no way it should be resent.

Yet, was in bootloop as long as I stayed on that page (hence asked for automated refresh to happen on homepage)
Similarily noticed at the time, doubled OTA update requests when hitting update button (but second obviously did not happen and showed red message that it was already up to date),
The new page refresh heading to homepage stopped this.
Now, no idea on the actual root cause, but the reported observations are as they stand.

The slider spans 4 columns, so should not look like that.

I use the Chrome browser as desktop version and mobile. What browser are you using?

It looks better in the desktop version.

That is more what it should be like.

On safari I can easily select text and see the underlying "table" or even edit to set a border in a table to see what is happening.

Okay, then it must be the mobile browser. Firefox is ok. the cause, so to speak, is the chromium based browsers.
But since the BLE has been rearranged, the shifts have become more pronounced.
