Functions available per model

Trying to understand how Faikin determines which special function (and related buttons) it enables according to aircon model:

1. does it do some sort of diagnostic/test at startup? (only once? at each restart? can we see that logged somewhere?)
2. does it help if we manually set model name in extra settings?
3. if not, what is the purpose/benefit of setting such model name? (which format: capitals, other formatting)
4. FTXSxxG2V1B is supposed to support many functions (AUTO · DRY · COOL · HEAT · FAN · COMFORT AIRFLOW · INTELLIGENT EYE · POWERFUL · OUTDOOR UNIT QUIET · ECONO ), and several (in bold) are missing (see picture): how are these tested? Any info I can provide to help diagnose eventual missing bits so they can be properly detected?
