Help with auto mode #709

There is also a Trying to "steer" around the temperature falls down because the Daikin itself is trying to do that as well, and so you can only change its operation by setting a temperature much higher or lower. What you are asking for is basically the normal Daikin auto mode, which you can set - but that typically has a very wide temperature margin. Hope that helps. |

Thanks a lot for your help / answer. Which settings for the thermostat mode specifically would I have to set and how to make it run longer / with no short bursts? |

And another "auto" related question: What would be a reason that I cannot set the fan speed to "night"? For one of the ACs it always goes back to "Auto" after a few seconds... |

Dear All, Thanks for this nice board. In my case I have also the FAIKIN in auto mode running with an BLE Tempsensor attached and the FAIKIN control the Mode of the AC. The speed of the FAN is setted to NIGHT. Everything works well. The only thing that disturb after a time the FAN speedup. In the sliping room in the night this noise wake me up. Is there a possibility to switch this funktion off. Thanks for your answer |

Dear all,
I've searched a lot and found several discussions/issues that deal with the auto mode. But it seems getting it working properly is highly individual so I thought I'd ask here as well.
What I essentially want is very simple: The Daikin/Faikin should keep a target temperature in a room (let's say 22 degrees Celsius, with plus/minus 1 degree range). Ideally by running the AC continuously, just enough to compensate for the heat leaving the room through the walls.
This is tricky to do automatically, so what the auto mode currently does is that it switches the AC on and off based on some predictions and parameters (correct?) And this part is not working for me:
I use an external BLE sensor and that shows 21.08 degrees - so above the lower limit. Suddenly the AC turns on, heats up (set temperature something above 30 degrees), the fan turns on very high for a few minutes, then it turns off again. No change in room temperature whatsoever. This repeats multiple times throughout the day, even if the temperature never falls below the 21 degree mark.
Anything else I need to do or should this usually work?
Running the AC continuously (to not strain the compressor that much) and only adapting parameters on the fly to adaptively stear the room temperature around the target temp is not an option?
