Faikin reports different sensors/ modes via MQTT and native Daikin integration

I noticed doing a side by side comparison that the same faikin device reports different climate sensors and modes to the MQTT and Daikin integrations. It would be good to update both to report all sensors. In particular the hvac_action: heating would be great.

Is one S21 and one X50A?

What is repoprted is based on what we can get on the protocol.

No these are both from the same unit.

A single faikin plugged into the S21 port on a single split system.

The faikin is then queried by the Home Assistant Daikin integration and the MQTT climate device.

The faikin is collecting all the data, but is only reporting some data to one integration and other data to the MQTT climate device.

So one is using the legacy http based queries and one is using MQTT?

I don't known if the legacy http stuff can do all of the fields, and I really would not have expected someone to use both?

Or have I got that wrong?

If you have details of how the legacy http queries would work, I can change it I suspect.

Thanks, I suppose what I am asking is would it be possible:

MQTT climate entity to include:

• hvac_action: entity (which is available in legacy http), in addition to the hvac_mode field.

The legacy http include:

• fanfreq and liquid entites (which are available in MQTT)

That the min/max and modes presented are the same with both entities.

Surprised about hvac_mode. I'll have to look in to that. I think the problem is that the air conditioning profile on HA does not have that separate to the mode which includes auto, etc. And this is all based on the HA profile. So it would have to be a separate status.

As for fanfreq and liquid - what http URLs and fields should they go in?

OK, so I need to know what JSON for HA auto config I should use for hvac_action. It is not a simple switch, or a numeric value, and not sure how I should code it. If you can find that, I'll add it.

And, as I say, I need to know URL and fields for legacy for fanfreq and liquid.
