Daikin FTX12NMVJU and auto faikin never pushes the fan above level 3

I have tried everything I can think of. Went through settings multiple times and I can't figure out why it won't push to 5 or even powerful mode when the temperature is so out of wack. I've tried multiple ways to do this, and nothing seems to work. However, I CAN manually adjust the fan through the interface, but if I put it back on auto it bring the fan down to under 1000 RPM or "3".

Is this a bug with this model? Anyone have any experience with this problem?

I don't think the auto Faikin uses powerful.

As for fan speed it should use full when first started and well out of target temp. And should increase fan speed a step at a time over a period if needed and then decrease if staying in target.

I can double check the code. But if the usual web interface shows and can use 5 levels, the Faikin auto should be able to as well.

Can you confirm the setting auto.fmax ?

It's 5. I've also tried it with the 5+auto setting and default settings. It will never go above 3. If the unit it running at 5 and I turn on auto, it will immediately cycle down.

OK code uses that as limit so really odd!

Yeah, it's really weird. I literally spent several hours yesterday trying every possible setting. It just never goes above 3. I have another daikin in my garage, but everything works as expected. Let me know how I can help you troubleshoot this. I made an mqtt python app to monitor the settings to confirm what is being sent/received.

If another Faikin works, and this one not, on same code, it is Daikin being special I suspect.

I have an update, and this might have just been operator error, however, my other Daikin unit doesn't behave this way. So, if I select a fan speed initially, it will work as designed. However, if I press "Auto" for the fan speed, the fan does not adjust properly. So, that seems to be the "fix'
