Does not discover BLE devices. Using Xiaomi Telink with ATC1441 firmware.
devices are discoverable through OTA flasher, nRF Connect and LightBlue. I have two running ATC firmware and neither is discovered. I tried yesterday with both ATC and original Xiaomi firmware as well

Manually adding device name yields no response. is there a raw mode where I can determine if BLE is active on Faikout?

my intended use requires a remote temperature sensor.

It detects a number of specific BLE devices that we know of.

Can you set your BLE device to BT Home 1, BT Home 2 perhaps?

The ATC1441 firmware embeds the name as ATC_XXXXXX ( X = last three octets of MAC address)
in the Faikout menu the BLE drop down has no information auto-populated. reloading does nothing.
any help would be appreciated.

OK, if it shows in menu, that should work. The BLE code looks for a number for formats and only reports the ones it knows in the pull down.

It should show "BLE" on the main web page once you have selected that from BLE menu.

Sorry, I misread it as showing on the drop down.

Does the firmware have any options for what format it advertises? Try any that it has.

It is possible it is not a format I handle - if you can find a spec for it, I may be able to add.

OK no, not native, needs a different firmware installing. The link says more of what are supported. The ATC code should work. But the ATC code does things like BT Home 1 and 2 as an option, do they help?

I installed the ATC firmware linked.
there is no option on the naming for changing the naming in the pre-built firmware (from Aaron Christophel), The naming is defaulted to ATC_XXXXXX. every device will have a name that contains that structure. The XXXXXX is the mac address without semicolons.

OK but I do recall the software does have formats for the announcements, like BT Home 1. have you tried any?

The sensors I have are the latest production units. the process to OTA the firmware initially is rather tedious. The formats you are suggesting do not yield anything. The UI implies that the Faikin will discover any BLE devices that are advertising. I want to make sure I understand correctly: can the Faikin interact directly with BLE device or does it require an intermediary?

OK I know there have been changes in the process, and yes, tedious, but worked for me on old process and new process (which was a pain if I recall).

The process is these BLE sensors advertise the information and the Faikout picks those up. No intermediary needed.

If, somehow, that process no longer works, that is a concern.

I doubt a Faikout could have faulty BLE, it is all in the SoC. Apart from trying another Faikout, I am not sure what to suggest.

Is there a sensor that works without my intervention? I bought the Xiaomi units because it seemed that they were known to work with Faikin. Can you test the latest ATC firmware and see if there’s a compatibility issue?

Not easily.

Did you try the different modes for the ATC code? Like BT Home 1?
