selfhosting is already an option. We typically recommend simply using the web app for selfhosting, but we do plan to include third party support in our native apps in the future. |

Hello! I was wondering if there were plans to look into allowing server hosters to self-host their own server and community, and supporting the ability to add servers to your Revolt account with a custom URL, similarly to how Teamspeak functions. Being able to self-host outside of Revolt's own server, and being able to give an invite link that behaves functionally similar to a Discord invite would be a really useful feature to have.
As of right now, you have to recompile the desktop/mobile version code to get the Revolt chat client to connect to a full self-hosted instance (Which I presume also gives others the ability to self-host their own communities on your server), but for a lot of people, compiling from source isn't going to be practical, and in the case of a software development or official brand server, when self hosting, you don't really need to have the functionality to allow users of said instance to create their own servers.
Some other people are also concerned about privacy implications for putting their data on a centralized server, and they don't need everything and the kitchen sink when it comes to self-hosting.
