Older Armachat hardware with meshtastic firmware compatibility

Hi @richteel ,

I bought a number of the Blue and Black Armachat's (with Red PCBs) a number of years ago. I have spotted that you have completed work on the meshtastic firmware for the Armachat. What I can't see anywhere is whether my older hardware works with the meshtastic firmware. Just thought I would get in touch and see if there is a compatibility table somewhere. I have also posted this to Bobricius, but I would guess you may be the most in the know for this.

I was looking into Meshtastic but I did not do anything with it. I wrote some code to fill out the functionality that Bobricius had planned but my implementation ran quite slow. I was looking into modifying the code to use RTOS but moved on to another project. I have been considering getting back to this project but I've got too many pans in the fire as usual so I doubt I will get back to this anytime soon.

I don't know if Bobricius made any more progress with Meshtastic. It would be great if he did. His project is a very simple implementation that opens LoRa to others. I love his simplistic design.
