Time synchonization issue

When I try to control the panda robot using a separate laptop that is connected to a master node running don't the workstation I get the following error:

 Didn't receive robot state (joint angles) with recent timestamp within 1 seconds.
Check clock synchronization if your are running ROS across multiple machines!

This is probably because you did not sync the clocks between the two machines. As explained here this can be done using chrony. For more information on working on multiple machines, see this doc.
