Live Server starts on Port 5500 but fails to open browser in Google Antigravity IDE (Windows 11) #3242

Description

@tanbaycu

I am using the Live Server extension (v5.7.9) within the Google Antigravity IDE. While the server starts successfully and shows Port : 5500 in the status bar, it fails to automatically open a new tab in the browser, even when using the "Open with Live Server" command or try opening and resetting it using various methods such as Ctrl + Shift + P or deleting the extension directory and reinstalling it.

Actual Behavior:

  1. Clicking "Go Live" or using the context menu "Open with Live Server", or shortcut.
  2. Status bar updates to show Port : 5500.
  3. No browser window or tab opens automatically, but the browser still accesses 127.0.0.1:5500 normally.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  1. Verified that liveServer.settings.CustomBrowser is set to null to use the system default browser.
  2. Verified that liveServer.settings.NoBrowser is unchecked (false).
  3. Attempted to use the Command Palette to trigger the browser opening.
  4. Reinstalled the extension and the IDE.
