Arduino + MCP2515 as J2534-2

I looked around but couldn't find a definitive answer.

Is this setup possible? plausible? Would you recommend it?
Maybe something like Seeed Can-Bus V2 dev board?

You would need to create a custom J2534 API driver for the arduino in order to do this...
