Improved Home Assistant setup

Just a heads up that I've been making some improvements to the setup process of the Home Assistant integration.

As a first-time user a while back there were a bunch of small changes that would have made things more intuitive, so that's what I've been working on.

I don't know if there's a way of assigning it to me and I don't think there's much likelihood of conflicting branches, but let me know if anyone else plans to work on the Home Assistant custom component in the immediate future.

I'll present a new version in a week or so. I've been making good progress.

I am struggling to get min working, so would be great to make it easier

I did a rewrite of the setup part of the Home Assistant integration to make the flow more intuitive and catch setup errors and posted it here but it wasn't to Rob's liking. I should have checked before undergoing such a significant change.

Subsequently I created my own integration along with about half the councils, but decided to keep that myself as the world doesn't need a third bin collection integration!

This integration works well but it's a bit fiddly to set up. Stick with it!

I'd like to reflect here, saying it's not to my liking isn't a fair reflection. The PR is still open, I haven't had time to review this and something of this size needs time to be considered.

I'd like to measure twice cut once and get it right with minimal change for users.

Ah fair enough. I sensed some resistance, although perhaps the resistance was out of caution as you say.

I'd agree that it's a big change.
