update literature readme, cleanup resource list

I moved a link from the main readme here since it's too confusing to have it as a link on the main readme. Also polished the listing a bit and adjusted the text so it's clearer that we try to incorporate one of many classifications (might be in different branches).
The list should now be more comprehensable
