Peridot v2 - Goals

A meta-topic for the goals (and non-goals) for Peridot v2.

Primary goals for v2:

• Keep deps minimal within reason
• Define clear path for migrations from v1 to v2
• Define clear path for migration of koji (rocky 8) to Peridot v2
• Define clear path for deprecations
• Document, document, document yumrepofs
• Python3 is the primary language - golang used for select components like yumrepofs
• Commits should have auto-tests
• All development will be pushed to v2 branch in peridot repo when in a good state
• Primary/broad discussions will happen in github
