Roku Channel Crashes Checking Active Subscription

New Roku channel approved. Able to view content. Able to subscribe when going through the flow after pressing play.

When I go to play the content after subscribing, app crashes.

Using the subscription sample to create the channel.

Any help would be welcome. I am thinking the logic in the sample may be outdated?
