Learned about the general idea of tracking user locale info incl. time zone data in client hints from @kentcdodds 's library here: epicweb-dev/epic-stack#307

What's the status of this proposal? Does this need to be proposed to some standards body and a process followed like it is with TC39 proposals?

Would love to follow along on this and hear about any feedback + implementation from browser vendors.

@karlhorky, thank you for the feedback and interest. While this proposal is not certain to reach a standard venue due to some considerations, my colleague @ben-allen is actively working on a similar proposal that has gained more consensus among browser vendors. Ok thanks for the note and link! I'll set my Watch settings on @ben-allen 's repo to All Activity. Didn't see anything about time zones there unfortunately, which is the data I'm most interested in.
