Reordering multiple post types together

Hi, is it possible to maintain sorting between multiple post types together?

As an example, let's say we're showing two post types on the homepage news and post. By default, we'd sort them individually and end up with something like this:

news 1
post 1
news 2
post 2
news 3
post 3

But instead, I'm looking for an interface to sort them together. Like this:

news 1
news 2
post 3
news 4
post 5
post 6
