AHA! They can't push you into a round dot version! It's already a native round dot, and works perfectly as such. I don't know how you do it, but please let me know if I can help. |

I couldn't figure out why I got so excited looking at the old Max Miedinger posters, while my own work using Helvetica or Helvetica Neue fell flat. Then I discovered Neue Haas Grotesk and got excited all over again. I learned the history, which made it obvious why Helvetica wasn't cooperating with me. Then I saw the price of NHG. THEN I saw a moveable type war crime by the name of Neue Haas Grotesk 'ROUND DOT', undoubtedly pushed into this world against all laws of decency by some executive who's design credentials stopped at MS Paint and the reviled Comic Sans. So I consulted Claude Opus, asking for a clean slate and a chance at new horizons of typeface glory, and was ushered directly to Inter. The spiritual successor of Max Miedinger's original idea (in MY opinion, anyway), before it was neutered, and before the long history of repeated neuterings that followed, had finally arrived, and it was pure and beautiful, and everything I was looking for. And unbelievably FREE for commercial use. The display set rekindled all those feelings of excitement that come with executing perfect design with just the correct toolset. INTER. The world doesn't deserve you. Thank you Rasmus. You're a hero, and if they ever approach you with the idea of making a round dot version. Please resist them.
