I am having an issue running the binary:

thread 'main' panicked at src/main.rs:173:61:
called Result::unwrap() on an Err value: Sys(EOPNOTSUPP)

LibreELEC (official): 12.0.2 (RPi5.aarch64)

I am not sure what I am doing wrong...

I have the same problem, i guess its because the RPi5 is using VC6 and not VC4 anymore.

There are probably changes to the current implementation necessary or maybe even a whole new one, i'm not that deep into that topic.

It looks like the firmware does support it now, but that's also a rather recent change: raspberrypi/linux#6867 (comment)

@cpthein this is not correct, it works fine on my Raspi 5. I just need to invoke it with -d /dev/dri/card1, which I have added to the drm-capture.service file.
