DHCP client does not work on GCE

The GCE DHCP server issues a /32 mask on the provided address, so the gateway is not on the local network and therefore not reachable. Essentially, it seems like the DHCP client should support the "Local Subnet Routes" of RFC3442 for the gateway to be reachable.
