Autostart Finch on login for MacOS [Simple Shell Script]

Sharing a simple method to have Finch VM autostart on login.

1. Create a simple shell application for starting the Finch VM.

tee finch.command << EOF
#!/usr/bin/env bash
#
# This script is used to start Finch VM on login.
#

finch vm start
 
EOF

2. Add execute permissions and place in user's Applications folder.

chmod +x finch.command
mv finch.command ~/Applications

3. Add the application to the login items.
   From System Settings >> General >> Login Items. "+" and select the script under user's local Applications folder.

Now on each login the Finch VM start process will beginning automatically.
