OK. I feel like I'm missing something. Anthropic has two different billing options: subscription and API-based. Personally, I use both. I use the "PRO" plan most of the time, but will switch over to API for heavy sessions when I exceed my pro quota. But there's no discussion of API/subscription in any of the ccusage cost or token documentation.
Does the cost calculator just translate tokens to cost using the API rate? What I'd really like to know is (in a Block) how much of my pro usage quota have I consumed, and if I've switched over to API billing, how much money have I spent on that. I don't really need either of these to be exact.
So, under the assumption that we're really just treating everything like it's API-based, I guess the right thing for me to do is calculate expected cost quota, and then (usage/quote) as long as that's <1, and then COST_OF(usage - quota) thereafter. Am I understanding this correctly?
