[Question] Direct download with DMG archive?

I realized that this security scoped bookmark #267 and #288 handling might be related to having the app running on the macOS sandbox? It has more restrictions on read / write access of a folder on the disk.

How about providing a separate RectLabel app that can be downloaded outside the App Store, therefore more flexibility regarding directory access? Therefore, user doesn't need to select or pre-approve the folder that the app can access.

ML models and dataset structure can get really complex.

This would require the app to be notarized, and having a separate licensing and payment system such as using:

• lemon squeezy - license keys
• lemon squeezy - introduction

I understand it can be complicated, it's just an idea.
