I submitted a request for a Vue 3 migration almost 3 weeks ago; now I just have to wait and see if they accept it. |

Hello vue-select team,
We are currently using the 4.0.0-beta.6 version of vue-select in our Vue 3 project, as we required Vue 3 compatibility when we adopted it.
Our dependencies outdated script (npm outdated) shows the following discrepancy:
Current Version: 4.0.0-beta.6
Latest (Stable) Version: 3.20.4
Given that the 4.x branch has been in beta since late 2022 (November 8, 2022) and appears to have had little recent activity or updates, we have the following questions:
What is the current status of the 4.x branch? Can we expect a stable final release (4.0.0) in the near future?
If the 4.x branch is currently inactive or abandoned, should we consider downgrading to the stable 3.x version?
If the recommendation is to revert to version 3.x, are there any known compatibility issues when using vue-select@3.x in a Vue 3 project?
We would greatly appreciate any guidance on the project's roadmap direction. We want to ensure our code remains on a stable and long-term supported version.
Thank you very much for your great work on this library!
