Direction of this project

Hi folks,

as a user of this extension, I have recently become aware of the [other one](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=sfdc-eng.bazel-java extension) that is also built from this repository. There seems to have been quite some changes since the last release of sfdc.bazel-vscode-java which seem quite a departure from VS Code conventions ("multi-root workspaces"). So I was wondering what the plan with the future of this repo ist: is there an intent on the side of Salesforce to support the VS Code Java/Bazel community with this extension or is this more a project geared towards salesforce-internal consumption? Are you soliciting contributions from outsiders and would you be willing to accept input from the community? There seems to be little public conversation recently 🤷

Sorry for the delayed response on this. I've been in contact with other folks who work on this project as well as it's forks. Currently the plan is to try and unify the extensions you mentioned into a consolidated set.

More specifically the current intent is to:

• archive bazel-vscode-java
• archive bazel-eclipse
• Migrate any relevant differences to https://github.com/eclipseguru/bazel-eclipse
• Continue to maintain the bazel-vscode extension
  • Longer term investigate if bazelproject file support can be contributed into the vscode-bazel extension. If this could be done it would remove the need for the salesforce owned bazel-vscode extension

As of today, for the best experience I would recommend using the extension found here: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=guw.bazel-eclipse-vscode
