Vector Tiles Support? .pbf #5

Hello there, and thank you for this outstanding lib.
I have seen the MapTiler example [1], but it supports only png, but is it possible to get vector tiles and json style working together with universe?
Currently, we are trying to get universe working with a self-hosting OpenMapTiles / MapTiler [2] like for example [3] and Json-Styles [4].
Any help is much appreciated, thy!
