Minions can't connect to masters (reachable) when set for multimaster using DNS names in the master list and one of the masters DNS names is not found
This is annoying to fix after minions have been deployed, given minions can't be reached.
Wouldn't be better to properly set retry_dns_count to a short value or retry_dns to 0 by default
Or fix the code to allow the minion to talk to a master even if other masters DNS names are not resolved
Describe the solution you'd like
This will allow minions to connect to available masters despite the faulty DNS name
Under the following set up and with default minion options
master:
saltmaster-3 causes the minion to not contact the available master (saltmaster-1), no event is seen on saltmaster-1 event bus when minion starts.
If minion is configured with retry_dns: 0, or retry_dns_count: 2 (or any other short value, by default it's set to 30), the minion will reach and contact saltmaster-1
Or fix the code to allow the minion to talk to a master even if other masters DNS names are not resolved
