[Bug]: edge lighting flickers irregularly with no respect to persistent notification

Bug Description

It flickers as if the phone is struggling to handle it. The lowest glow intensity flickers followed by whatever the user defined level is. The in app preview is however well balanced.

The lighting flickers constantly for the time period defined (in this case 1 second) even though the pulse is set to 1.

Whether I am syncing repositories or downloading an app from browser/fdroid, it keeps on flickering. Thats also an issue.

This is by far the most favourite option for me. Please fix it. Thanks for your hard work

Hi! This is when you enable it for persistent notifications right? They are quite hard to deal with as each new notification arrives as a new one even tho it's just updating the existing progress ... I'll try to see if there's a way to minimize that in some way with title matching or so.

Yes. It seems as if it doesnt work at all. The glow is still not smooth for normal one time notifications either. It glows twice even though pulse count is once and glow should last for 1 second.

Could the double glow be a result of me using "speak that" (an app that announces notification - only the app name in my case)?
