[Bug]: Power saving mode not working on samsung device

Bug Description

Hi I want to try out the maps power saving mode on my phone its really great that you have added but for some reason I'm not able to start this on my samsung s23 ulta, I have given the required permissions form shizuku still when I open any maps session and lock my screen all I get is AOD no maps on my lock screen I'm getting regular maps not the power saving mode. Please can you let me know if this is device specific that I'm missing

Steps to Reproduce

I firstly ran shizuku provided permissions
then turned on the map power saving mode in essential app
then I ran an maps session

Expected Behavior

black and white map over lock screen

Once you setup permission, start a navigation, turn the screen off and back on to the lock screen. It should work there.

Make sure you have not hidden notifications from Google Maps either as it is required to detect ongoing navigation sessions.

Hi, I have the permissions setup properly but the moment I start navigation the toggle on the status bar just greys out and says need permission and does not work, I tried restarting shizuku multiple times providing permission over and over but the moment I leave essentials the permission disappears and the maps session works without power saving mode. I have the latest shizuku app from github still it seems to not work. Regarding the permissions for maps notifications they are active and I can see the next turn details on the status bar/ notification bar when I minimizes maps, I hope it should work but its not

Can you try with this shizuku version maybe as other projects are kind of now outdated with Android 16

And make sure you have granted notification listener permission as well.

Hi I did download the shizuku app you suggested but still the same problem persists
I have given then notifications listener permissions as well but still its not working, the moment I put essentials app in background it stops even when shizuku is still running

Ohhhh... might be a samsung bug but hard to say since pretty much everyone else not having such issues.

I assume so as with many of the users I have seen here and in bug reports or so, never had an issue before. I think the issue is more of Shizuku or related services compatibility with some Samsung devices/ users here more than the app which is the problem.

BTW, you are up to date right? Just in case to v11.3? Also go into app and try to turn on this feature and see what it reports.

Hey sorry for the wait I was on latest build till 11.3 came up 😄, which feature are you talking I quit did not get the feature name
