Following your code example, I don't have the issue.

Can you give me more context about your issue ? (it might be related to the layout parameters and configuration you use).
Which version of flagada and typst are you using ?

Typst code to recreate problem (just two lines):

Typst version:

typst --version
typst 0.13.1 (unknown hash)

I'm running this on PopOS 22.04 Linux.

Unfortunately I can't find the same issue.
I did the test (each time on typst version 0.13.1) :

• Windows 11, typst in direct version
• Windows 11, typst through VSCode (Tinymist Typst extension)
• Web Version
• Raspberry Pi 5 (Raspberry Pi OS)

I always passed the test and never had any issue with #flag("IL", height: 3.8in)

Can you at least give a test on the Web Version from you side and tell me if you find the issue there (normally you shouldn't...) ?

The web version works just fine.

The problem manifests on another Linux machine, one running PopOS 24.04 Alpha, the COSMIC DE Alpha edition. Note that I use typst watch main.typ to generate the PDF which I view with Document Viewer.

The same problem exists on the Raspberry Pi when compiling with typst itself.

Buuuut, when I use the Typewriter GUI, the "IL" flag looks just fine.

Aaaand tinymist preview main.typ also displays the Israel flag correctly. This is also true on the Raspberry Pi.

We may have exposed a bug in the crate typst-cli PDF rendering.

Ok, I don't have the issue on Israel flag using typst watch in Windows.

Do you have the same kind of issue with flags that follow the same display approach as IL ?

In Windows, I have an issue only on Mauritania flag using typst watch or typst compile
And I have no issue on any flag when PDF preview is done by Visual Studio Code or by the Web Version

This is the only one from your list of flags above that does not render properly. In the following screen grab, the one on the left is from typst watch main.typ and the one on the right is from tinymist preview main.typ which looks correct.
