revert a file from a second dropbox (shared as read only) after the local file had been changed

Dear all,

i have a relative simple issue, and just would like to know how to handle it in the easiest way.
Besides of that I would like to thank you to all who are working on this great tool!

I have a friend who shares a dropbox folder 'gem-a' read only.
I have added this to my dropbox as 'gem-b'.
Now I use maestral on a linux computer to get access to all my dropbox files.

What happens, if I change a file in folder gem-b?
I can surely change it, it will surely not be changed at 'gem-a'.
How can I revert it back to the original file as from 'gem-a'?

By re-thinking I have now found a possible way and would like to get a confirmation if that should be ok:

deleted the changed file locally
and then sent the cmd:
maestral rebuild-index
