Browser Action Icon does not update

I tested with uBlock Origin (the original MV2 one), but should be the same for other extensions.
When I disable it on a page, normally its icon gets replaced with a gray one. But on Shell Browser, it stays with the one initially loaded. I wonder what needs to be done in order to fix this? Thanks.
