As PSD, we would like decline the Plate Genie application, as the application has already been soft turned off and we would like to complete the shutting down and clean up process.

Plate Genie - Deep Well Plates

• The Deep well plate functionality, accepts a list of barcodes, and for each barcode sends a request to Lighthouse Service.
• For the given barcode, Lighthouse Service gets the samples for that plate barcode from Mongo, then creates the plate, with sample data, in Sequencescape

Q: Maybe the main question is how long is the RVI project planned to last. Because if it is going to be a long time, maybe we should move the functionality to SS or Limber, and also consider moving the Lighthouse Service functionality, so that Lighthouse Service can be removed.

Options:

Import mongo data into Sequencescape (all plates or some list of RVI plates they are interested in)

• Q: How many plates are there left?
• Q: Do RVI know what plates they want to import still
• One off job, then can remove Platen Genie/ Lighthouse Service/ MongoDB.
• Q: Would all the data be useful, do RVI have a list of barcodes of plates they would like to import

Move Deep Well Plate screen into another application

• This would mean we can decline Plate Genie
• But still have to keep Lighthouse Service and MongoDB

Remove unused tabs from Plate Genie

• And/ OR remove any associated code in Lighthouse Service
• Remove unused functionality of Plate Genie -> Labwhere/ SPrint/ Baracoda
• But still have to keep Lighthouse Service and MongoDB

Questions to RVI:

How long is the RVI project expected to run?
Are there many plates left to import into Sequencescape via Plate Genie?
Do you have a list of the remaining plates you’d like to import?

The RVI project is working with a finite number of plates, and we expect to complete processing by September. All the necessary plates have now been imported into Sequencescape.

This means we can deprecate Plate Genie, Lighthouse Service and make Mongo read-only
