MYGGSPRAY Motion Sensor not visible in Homeassistant

i just starting with yout integration and it looks like that one device is not visible even the original python client supports it since three weeks?

Until PR #185 is merged, you can use my fork as a workaround:

Via HACS: Add nrbrt/dirigera_platform as a custom repository (Settings → Custom repositories → Add), then install from there.

Or manually: Replace your custom_components/dirigera_platform/ folder with the one from https://github.com/nrbrt/dirigera_platform

After the PR is merged you can (and should) move back to the original

Thanks for trying the fix! Here are a few things to check:

My setup (working):

• Home Assistant: 2026.1.1
• dirigera_platform: 0.0.1 (from my fork)

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Restart Home Assistant completely (not just reload) after installing the custom component

2. Verify installation location: The files should be in:
   config/custom_components/dirigera_platform/

3. Check the sensor is in IKEA app: The MYGGSPRAY must first be added to your Dirigera gateway via the IKEA Home Smart app

4. Check HA logs for any errors:
   Settings → System → Logs → search for "dirigera"

5. Verify the fix is loaded: In HA Developer Tools → States, search for "motion" - do you see any motion sensors at all?

Could you share:

• Your Home Assistant version?
• How did you install it? (manual copy or HACS?)
• What does your HA log show for "dirigera"?

The MYGGSPRAY should appear as binary_sensor.<name>_motion_sensor once working.

I did fresh install of HA in TrueNAS and installed via this guide:
Via HACS: Add nrbrt/dirigera_platform as a custom repository (Settings → Custom repositories → Add), then install from there.

and installed your version but no motion sensor is showing. I have 2 motion sensor intergrated in Ikea app. I have integrated 12 devices from Dirigera to HA but no motion sensor.

1. I did

4. I have no logs, it is fresh install and restarted

I think I might have found the issue. The fix was on a separate branch and not merged into main yet. HACS pulls from main by default, so you were getting the old version without the fix.

I just merged the fix into main. Please try these steps:

1. In HACS, go to the Dirigera Platform integration
2. Click the 3 dots menu → Redownload
3. Make sure to select the latest version
4. Restart Home Assistant completely (not just reload)
5. Check Developer Tools → States for binary_sensor.*motion*

The fix is now on the main branch, so HACS should pull the correct version.

you are sooooooo cooooool.......... after few days suffering I finaly see both of motion sensors in HA and they works....they detect mtion correctly. Do you know if the original developer left the project? There is no update since 3/2025? You should make fork and continue development.

Hi, did you do anything with ALPSTUGA air monitor? It is not showing in HA anymore. I tried unpair and pair again the ALPSTUGA into Ikea APP bit it is not showing in HA.

Funny timing - I was actually walking through IKEA when I received your message about the ALPSTUGA! I decided to grab one right there to test and fix the issue.

What went wrong:

I traced the problem back to an earlier commit that cherry-picked PR #182 (CO2 support by stirante). That code added:

if getattr(env_device,"current_c_o2") is not None:

The problem is that getattr without a default value throws an AttributeError when the attribute doesn't exist. Since the dirigera library doesn't have current_c_o2 in its model yet, this crashed the entire add_environment_sensors function - which is why all your environment sensors disappeared, not just the CO2 reading.

The fix (PR #190):

• Added patched EnvironmentSensorX class with current_c_o2 field
• Fixed all getattr calls to use None as default value
• Now environment sensors load properly again

I've merged the fix into my fork's main branch. To get it:

1. Go to HACS → Dirigera Platform
2. Click the 3 dots → Redownload
3. Restart Home Assistant completely

The ALPSTUGA should show up with all its sensors (temperature, humidity, PM2.5, VOC, and CO2).

One more question, from another topic...HA see the Thread is connected to it, but do not see the Dirigera Thread border router, any idea how to fix it?

Light level (lumens) on MYGGSPRAY:

I investigated this earlier - see issue #165. Unfortunately this is a Dirigera API limitation, not something that can be fixed in the integration.

When querying the Dirigera hub directly, motion sensors only expose these attributes:

identifyStarted, identifyPeriod, isDetected, customName, model, 
manufacturer, firmwareVersion, hardwareVersion, serialNumber, 
productCode, batteryPercentage, sensorConfig, otaStatus, ...

No lightLevel or illuminance attribute is provided by the Dirigera API. IKEA chose not to include it in their hub's API.

The integration code is ready to pick up lightLevel if Dirigera ever starts exposing it, but until IKEA updates the Dirigera firmware/API, this data simply isn't available.

Workaround: If you need illuminance data, you could pair the sensor directly via ZHA instead of through Dirigera.
