They are pretty annoying to work with (I, and if I recall correctly Mircea, just bypass them and do a final commit to actually do the linting) and slow down the commit process. Also they didn't set up properly on Rose Team machines even when every other package appears to.

Do we still want to keep them around? Is there a more modern version that doesn't slow things down as much?
