@Sciss @benhutchison any objections? I am not insisting this be merged. the text of the Apache 2 license is already very CLA-like in many respects

probably we should have had the CLA in place in all the modules from the start, but we didn't 🤷

if you'd like to discuss, let me know. the Scala org doesn't, to my knowledge, have any further real interest in this repo, but also, we'd rather see it stay alive than die. whether this gets merged or not is a secondary concern
