Acceptance tests for k8s are taking too long to execute, there might be an issue with a waiting function

It would be helpful to migrate all the logic for retries in the transport package. At the moment the check for delay between retries is repeated inside the waiters, migrating it in a dedicated packages such as transport and adding logs would be helpful to track the issue
