Manipulation of containerSelector object breaks other functionality

Curious if someone could shed some light before I attempt to tear the code apart and fix it.

While trying to use parallax background videos, the initiation of Scoth Panels kills the playback functionality of the video. Plugin being used is here: https://github.com/linnett/backgroundVideo

Just curious if anyone knows an exact list of what all is done to the containerSelector object so that I can start pinpointing the cause of this malfunction.

The slideReveal plugin (https://nnattawat.github.io/slideReveal) does not have this issue, but unfortunately, it does not allow you to set your containing div for cases where you want to push an element other than body. For this reason, I would prefer to keep using ScotchPanels, but cannot if this functionality cannot be made compatible. :(
