When my cousin felt overwhelmed by taking her equestrian center online, I used it as a chance to learn Next.js and TypeScript—building both my personal site and Hearts4Horses from the ground up. That project reminded me why I code: turn fuzzy needs into usable, reliable tools.",

content: "My view of healthcare comes from every angle: a five-year cancer fight, two rounds of COVID and long-haul recovery, and six years shoulder-to-shoulder with clinicians rolling out enterprise EHRs. I've led workflow changes that gave providers more face time and patients a clearer voice—without slowing the clinic down. At Q-Centrix, I worked on a HIPAA-compliant Rails app with Angular/Ember and Postgres (encrypted PHI), built rigorous form validation for NCDR registry metrics, and helped introduce BDD with Cucumber/RSpec to raise coverage on critical paths. Compassion and reliability aren't features to me—they're baselines.",

I'm self-taught with a bootcamp detour—Ruby/Rails and a taste of React—and I still reach for Python first. JavaScript was my early nemesis; leaning into Node, React, Next.js, and TypeScript has turned it into a growing strength. I like code reviews, small PRs, and CI that tells the truth.",

However, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, yes please! Haunted Houses, terror maze pumpkin patches, binging horror movies, I'm down for all of the above. I don't get nuclear-level heat when it comes to food. Ghost pepper, Carolina reaper peppers etc...any kind of spice/seasoning that causes your skin to welt up like hives from touching it, why would you put that in your body? Why not just lay in bed covered with Bullet Ants! No Thanks!!",
