Slow response time

I have installed searxng-docker on a vserver with Ubuntu.
It's functional and all. But the response time after a search query can be several seconds and it.
It's noticeable slower than many public searxng instances.
what can be the reason behind this?

• Your vserver has only few cores and hence async requests don't work well
• You have more engines enabled than the public instance you're comparing with
• Your vserver is located somewhere in the nowhere

I am running it on a 5600G CPU with 32GB RAM locally in my local network, and I can confirm that it sometimes can be slow. I am currently trying to observe where the waiting time is coming from.

I am using the default engine setup.
I thought maybe it could be DNS resolution being slow but...

So yeah, something's odd.

You should all check your DNS configuration. Check if ALL the DNS servers configured respond in a reasonable time, if there is no dead DNS server configured.
