sudo docker-compose up -d gets an error when starting caddy container

Make sure that you checked out a copy of the git and aren't just chucking it into docker-compose or portainer. You should also update the location of the Caddyfile to be mounted to where your git checkout is with a full path. Worked for me anyways.

I have the same issue and do not understand what you mean. I updated the docker-compose file with this:

- /usr/local/searxng-docker/Caddyfile:/etc/caddy/Caddyfile:ro

I believe this is what you suggest

You need a full copy of the git repo, not just copying the docker-compose file.

I also had this issue on MacOS Sequoia 15.2

The issue is I had to open Docker Desktop and go to Settings > Resources > File sharing, and add /usr/local/searxng-docker
