Side menu transparency

Hi guys
I noticed that even though this is supposed to be a standalone component,
it's still bound to some generic app settings( https://github.com/sebaferreras/Ionic3-MultiLevelSideMenu/blob/master/src/app/app.scss )
and I was wondering how to make it more isolated in this terms - my goal is to achieve transparent black background - but I am confused where should this change be done (and how ... to not break current isolation), can you enlighten me?

The thing is that this component is "just a part" of the side menu. If you take a look at the app.html file, you'd notice that this component is just the content of the side menu, but not the entire side menu:

So if you want to change the entire side menu (like setting its background color to be transparent) you'd need to modify some other components that are outside of the scope of this component.

But you're absolutely right, I'll change the code in order to encapsulate the entire side menu in this component, and will also add some more settings to have control over the theming of the entire side menu without the need of using styles in the app.scss file. But I'm afraid that this will take me a few weeks so I guess that, for now, the only way to achieve what you're looking for would be with some style rules in the app.scss file :(

(just figuring out the cascade is a bit of a problem to tackle the transparency)

P.S. I will leave the closing of this bug to you, I understand it's a bigger scope than I originally saw and it might not be feasible to fix it (yet)
